Joseph “Joe” qualified in 2006 in the UK. Post qualification he has worked within the National Health Service (NHS) as a Senior Musculoskeletal Therapist.
Outside of his extensive career at the NHS, he has worked closely with various elite sporting teams and individuals — including Olympians, Paralympians, world athletics champions and commonwealth games medalists — imparting his own experiences from elite sport. Joseph has represented his country (Wales) repeatedly in both athletics and swimming, and participates in triathlons. He uses his knowledge and experience of elite sport to provide a physiotherapy musculoskeletal screening programme to sports men and women.
He utilises a wide array of treatment options including shockwave treatment, manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, hydrotherapy and biomechanical analysis (both in running and cycling). He is trained in static bike set ups as well as gait analysis.
Joseph specialises in lower limb dysfunctions, tendon and myofascial injuries, intermediate to advanced rehabilitation, postoperative orthopedic management and generalized musculoskeletal pain, aiding all his treatments with real time diagnostic ultrasound.
